Wisconsin State Capitol (Third) without Dome

View from unpaved Wisconsin Avenue looking east toward the third Wisconsin State Capitol sometime prior to the completion of the dome (1869). The portion of the building seen here was designed by August Kutzbock and Samuel H. Donnel. Their dome was rejected, however, and Stephen V. Shipman designed the dome that was constructed. |
