Looking Eastward over Madison towards Verona
Aerial view, looking eastward from a point several miles outside the southwestern limits of Madison in the direction of Verona. Crossing the image diagonally from the left (north) edge to the lower right (south) corner is the Verona Road (Hwys. 18-151). Existence of an important mineral resource is evidenced in the photo by the three installations along the right side of the photo. The lower building is the plant of paving contractors Rein & Schultz. The middle building is the gravel pit and plant of Hammersley Stone Co. and the upper, the pit of the Wingra Stone Company. |
