Gilbert Roe, Madison attorney and partner in the firm La Follette, Harper, Roe, seated in his office in the second floor of the Fairchild Block at 29 East Main Street. In 1894 the partnership dissolved so that La Follette could better pursue his political career, but Roe, Zimmerman, and La Follette all moved to adjoining offices in the Fairchild Block.
