#381 24 May 1940, Jefferson County Union newspaper published the obituary of Sarah A. Vaughn which states that Mrs. Vaughn and her husband lived in the Lake Ripley area before moving to Cambridge, where they founded the Village Inn. The Vaughn's later sold the inn and moved back to Lake Ripley, but the inn retained the name "Village Inn". Information submitted to the archives by Carol Maki, May 2012. |
