"Professor R.B. Anderson, his Family & Visitors." Seated outdoors left to right around a table are: Mrs. R.B. Anderson, H. Herlofson, Professor Rasmus B. Anderson and Mrs. Ole Bull (Sara J. Thorp). The children include Olea Bull, Carlotta Anderson and George K. Anderson. Professor Anderson was a professor of Norwegian at the University of Wisconsin and founder of the Scandinavian Studies department. He introduced his friend, famed Norwegian violinist, Ole Bull, to the much younger Sara Thorp. They were wed in 1870.
