View of Wisconsin State Capitol with Flags

"View of the Capitol, with all the Flags" one of four "Different Views of Parades in the Streets" identified in Dahl's 1877 "Catalogue of Stereoscopic Views." The ceremonies are on the Capitol Square for the Centennial of the United States on July 4, 1876. The elevated view is from the roof of the Park Hotel. Also visible are the Post Office, Mifflin Street, and Lake Mendota in the distance.
