Extra Figure from Capitol Posts

One of the eight female figures purchased from the Chicago firm Gould Brothers and Dribblee to be used on the gate posts of the Wisconsin State Capitol fence. Only four were used and this is possibly the extra figure, "Candelabra." It became a memorial marker for Mary McFarland (died April 1, 1879) in the McFarland Family plot in McFarland Cemetery. |
