Compare with Image IDs: 27016, 26681, 26791. Also spelled Molstad. According to his obituary in the DeForest Times on 27 Jan 1899, Anders Moldstad was born 24 Aug 1843 in Vestre Toten, Norway. He emigrated in 1868, working in Decorah IA for several months before working in Lodi WI for 4 years. In 1872 he returned to Norway to marry Johanne Karine Berg; they returned to WI and settled in August 1873 in DeForest, where he was a successful merchant. He died there on 24 Jan 1899. |
