Neils Hallanger Family in Front Yard
The Neils Hallanger family is gathered in their yard around a table with books on it and a love seat behind. The frame house has a bay window and a stone foundation. From the left, the people are Neils T. Hallanger, his sons Thomas and John (standing), his daughter Magdalena, daughter-in-law Sophia Foss Hallanger and his wife Brita Hallanger. In front are Joseph (left) and James, both sons of Neils. The rest are unidentified. The Hallangers came from farms near Ulvik, Hardanger, Norway, in 1849. Neils Hallanger was a younger son, so he had no chance of inheriting part of the Hallanger lands. |
