This card which is postmarked 1912 shows the zinc statutes on the stone gateways near the sidewalk at Monona Avenue (now Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.). Originally constructed in 1873, the statues continued to grace the Capitol Square until the completion of the Fourth Capitol.

Wisconsin State Capitol (Third) and Dome

The Wisconsin State Capitol as it appeared after the completion of the dome in 1869. At that time only the dome and the upper stories can be seen above the trees in the Capitol Park.
