Wisconsin State Capitol Interior — Rooms of the Historical Society
Image
The Genealogical Alcove in the Historical Society's quarters in the third Wisconsin State Capitol. Although the Society had only moved into these rooms in 1883, it is clear that conditions were already very crowded by the time this picture was taken. In 1900 the Society was able to move to its own, more spacious building on State Street.
