East Main Street Looking West
Street view of buildings in the center of a small town. Sidewalks run along both sides of the street and automobiles are parked along the curbs. On the corner on the right is a tavern. Date stone at the top of the building reads: "1900, W. Welsh," and in the window a sign reads: "Corner Beer." Over the door is a balcony with a "Potosi Beer" sign under it. On the left side of the street is a building called "Chicken Inn." In the distance are more buildings in front, and in the background behind trees is a hill. In 1938, East Main Street/Highway 133 became the Great River Road. |
