ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
No case. Probably created as a 6th plate. J. J. Smith was a brother of Hiram Smith for whom Hiram Smith Hall on the College of Agriculture campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison is named. The two brothers in 1857 made the first cheese commercially produced in Wisconsin.
