| Mrs. (Christine) Peterson and Mrs. Torgeson (a neighbor) are working in the upstairs loft of the barn. Christine is sitting in a chair using a spinning wheel. Mrs. Torgeson is weaving on a large loom. She would buy wool, have it carded and then spin it. She made all their clothing, including very scratchy undergarments for winter." |
