McCutcheon and Airplane

Chicago Tribune cartoonist John T. McCutcheon with his Wright Model B airplane, probably photographed at Cicero Field. McCutcheon is sometimes referred to as the "Dean of American Cartoonists." Jesse Brabazon, owner of the album from which this photograph comes, recalled McCutcheon as a "proficient pilot" and an active member of the Chicago Aero Club. |
