Pinckney Street

Daguerreotype of elevated view of Pinckney Street, looking northwest. View includes the American House and Bruen's Block, both on the corner of East Washington Avenue. Visible in the distance at the right end of Pinckney Street (on what is now called Mansion Hill) is the two-year-old Bashford House. The public streets are lined with busy stores and crowded with wagons, hacks and carriages, and merchants' refuse. |
