Wright Airplane

A Wright airplane flying over a grandstand in Indianapolis, with a second unidentified plane in the foreground. This exhibition at the recently-constructed Indianapolis Speedway was organized by the Wright Brothers in order to increase sales. All of the flying was done by members of their exhibition team. This snapshot was taken by Arthur Pratt Warner, Wisconsin's first aviator, who attended several aviation exhibitions during 1910. |
