Austin Straubel Airport

The waiting room and escalator at Austin Straubel Airport's new passenger terminal. Austin Straubel became the Brown County airport in 1948, replacing Blesch Field. In keeping with wartime practice, the field was named in honor of Green Bay's Austin Straubel, a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Air Corps who was killed in the Pacific in 1942. |
