An aerial view of the Oshkosh Airport about three years after Steve Wittman became the manager. The field was established in 1928 by Oshkosh Airport, Inc. to facilitate air mail service in the Fox Valley. Since 1969 the airport has been known as Wittman Field, and since 1970 it has been the home of the Experimental Aviation Association. This photograph was collected by Robert Colton Johnson in conjunction with his administration of various Wisconsin Civil Works Administration projects, 1933-1934. |
