All-Star Game Souvenir Score Card
Unused souvenir score card for the first Major League Baseball All-Star Game played in 1933. The scoring method was patented by Joe Marr in 1931. Instructions for using the card appear at the right of the card. Portraits of the players and managers involved line the exterior of the score card and include John McGraw, Bill Hallahan, Carl Hubbell, Lon Warneke, Bill Terry, Frankie Frisch, Tony Coccinello, Pie Traynor, Pepper Martin, Dick Bartell, Woody English, Gabby Hartnett, Jimmie Wilson, Chuck Klein, Paul Warner, Lefty O'Doul, Wally Berger, Chick Hafey, Connie Mack, Wes Ferrell, Lefty Grove, Oral Hildebrand, Lefty Gomez, General Crowder, Lou Gherig, Tony Lazzeri, Charlie Gehringer, Jimmy Dykes, Jimmie Foxx, Joe Cronin, Rick Ferrell, Bill Dickey, Al Simmons, Babe Ruth, Earl Averill, and Ben Chapman. |
