Edwin H. Blashfield
Quarter-length studio portrait of Edwin H. Blashfield, American mural painter and mosaic artist, whose work can be seen at the Wisconsin State Capitol. When the Commission hired him in 1908, it got an artist at the height of his career. Blashfield had recently completed works in the Minnesota and Iowa state capitols and would go on to create a mural depicting the development of civilization for the Library of congress. |
