Wisconsin State Capitol Fire

The east wing of the third Wisconsin State Capitol is surrounded by onlookers during the disastrous fire that caused severe damage. The conflagration began in the west wing and quickly spread through the timber-framed central portion and east wing and the upper levels of the south wing. Only the north wing remained relatively undamaged. |
