Capitol (Third)

The third Wisconsin State Capitol (second in Madison), surrounded by trees. When construction on the capitol was completed in 1868, the structure measured 228 feet north to south and 226 feet east to west. It set the precedent for a capitol with four roughly equal wings oriented to the points of the compass. |
