Robert Doyle at His Typewriter
Robert Doyle (shirtles), works at the typewriter in his quarters in the BOQ (Bachelor Officer Quarters) #5, room 110, at CINCPAC (Commander in Chief, Pacific) headquarters in Guam. He has a large map of the Pacific Ocean pinned to the wall behind him. The room has simple furnishings: a table, chair and bed. A copy of the Milwaukee Journal is on the bed. The shutter on his window is open. At that time, Admiral Chester W. Nimitz was the Commander in Chief, United States Pacific Fleet. On the reverse of the contact print is written, "Guam, CinCPac room." |
