Take a horse-drawn carriage ride from the Visitor Center and Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum, over to Wade House's brand-new horse arena. See horses of every size, shape and color hitched to elegant carts and carriages competing for a coveted blue ribbon. Enjoy three competitions - Dressage, Cones Course and a Cross Country Drive - which will showcase the versatility, training and talents of both horse and driver. Sit right next to the arena and watch the action up close, feeling the footfalls of the horses as they show off their different gaits at the subtle command of their drivers. Display carriages will be open for guests to explore.

Society members receive a 10% discount.

Enter at the Wade House Visitor Center. Food will be available for purchase. Bathrooms are available. This event will be held rain or shine.

About the Location

Explore the horse-powered world that existed before planes, cars, and railroads at Wade House. Here the golden era of carriages lives on forever, with historic structures and a state-of-the-art museum highlighting all its wonders. The site features the stagecoach hotel built and owned by Sylvanus and Betsey Wade, the first European settlers of Greenbush. The site is also home to a blacksmith shop, sawmill, and the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum, which houses Wisconsin’s largest collection of carriages and wagons.
