Explore history in a new way at Old World Wisconsin this summer with a guided tour of the site. These small group experiences – designed for all ages - are perfect for those new to Old World Wisconsin, or those who want to dive deeper into the rich collection of stories of those who came to call Wisconsin home.
Available tours include:
Beasts and Barns
(9:15 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m.)
From oxen, to a dairy barn, to a one-room church- Discover what it means to be from a rural place and what community and family can look like across generations, as you travel from the 1860s to the 1910s in Life on the Farms.
Makers and Moo-vers
(9:15 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 2 p.m.)
Get up close with some of our heritage animals as you explore the Yankee Farm. Figure out what animals make, and how they move – and how they help us make and moo-ve, too!
Building a Home
(9:30 a.m., Noon, 2:15 p.m.)
Travel back to the 1860s Norwegian Immigrant Farm and look closely to find out what it takes to build a home. Then, practice your detective skills to see how a home can change over time.
Each tour is available three times a day on Wednesdays from June 16 - Aug. 25.
Cost: Adults (13-64) $10.99, Seniors (65+) $8.99, Children (5-12) $5.99.
