Conrad Seipp built Black Point Estate in 1888, but he was just one of six brewing tycoons that found rest and relaxation along the region's picturesque lakefront. You’ll know some of these brewers by name and others will surprise you.
After enjoying a scenic lake tour, you'll arrive at Seipp's former estate, considered one of the finest examples of Victorian architecture and furniture in the Midwest and one of the oldest mansions in Lake Geneva.
Once at Black Point, guests will be treated to a program and beer tasting of beers unique to the region led by Michael Rehberg, a Wisconsin native, lead interpreter at Black Point Estate and Gardens, and a historic brewery expert. This program highlights the evolution of the brewing industry in Milwaukee and Chicago with a local flavor. No presentation about beer would be complete without a tasting, so we will raise a glass or two together. We will sample beers from Wisconsin breweries as well as a few from further afield. Light snacks will be provided by Lake Geneva Country Meats and Heavenly Delights.
Cost: $68/person (includes tours, beer tastings, snacks, and a souvenir mug)
