What began with less than an acre of land, six historic circus wagons plus a lot of grit, determination, and passion, has now become an internationally recognized and respected institution encompassing 64 acres, 30 permanent structures, seven winter quarters buildings along Water Street, and over 260 spectacular wagons. Circus World truly is “Wisconsin’s National Treasure!”

Exhibits are designed for students in grades K-12. All groups must include a 1:10 adult to student ratio.

  • April 21 – May 15, Monday through Friday, 10am – 4pm (exhibits only, no live programming)
  • May 16 – August 31, Wednesday through Monday, 9am – 4pm (Performance Season)
  • September 2 – 26, Monday through Friday, 10am – 4pm (exhibits only, no live programming)

Know before you go! 
Circus World field trips can take place in indoor and outdoor locations.  Please dress for the weather and bring a reusable water bottle. Circus World Field Trip

Explore Wisconsin’s rich circus heritage at the original winter quarters home of the Ringling Bros. Circus in Baraboo. Your admission to this National Historic Site includes seven massive buildings filled with fascinating exhibits, spotlighting the colorful lives, innovation, and passion that fueled America’s most popular form of entertainment for over 50 years. Each field trip lasts 1 to 2hours.

Registration fees:

  • $8 per student
  • One free chaperone or teacher per 10 paid students
  • $19 per chaperone above the 1:10 adult to student ratio
