Samuel S. Pierce was the Executive Messenger for 5 governors, from 1926 until just before his death in 1936. Mr. Pierce was born March 17, 1870, in Virginia to John and Hettie Pierce. He died May 14, 1936, in Madison, Wisconsin, and is buried at Forest Hill Cemetery. |
