Sixth plate tintype/ferrotype of Cornelius Wheeler seated in a chair with his arm resting on a table. Wheeler was a 1st lieutenant in the 2nd Wisconsin Infantry, Company I during the Civil War. He later served as the governor of the Northwest branch of the National Soldiers' Home in Milwaukee, from 1892-1915. |
