The original caption reads: "International PA-50 power unit pumping two wells, 2,500-feet deep with standard pumping rig. Owned by Lee Petroleum Corp., San Angelo, Texas. Kloh Rumsey wells No.3 and No.4. South of Big Spring, Texas. Interviewed Ralph Scott, Box 205, Big Spring. Owner, C.V. Lee. One well produces 2.5 barrels of oil and 10 barrels of water per hour. The other produces 50 barrels of oil and water a day, about one quarter of which is oil. Formerly used electric motor on this job at a cost of $90 a month for electricity. PA-50 uses only $11 a month worth of natural gas. Lubricating oil costing 57 cents a gallon is changed every 100 hours and 9 quarts are required per change. No oil is added between changes." |
