Scouler & Jacobson Lumber Company
View looking east of logs floating in the pond at Scouler & Jacobson Lumber Company. Logs were dumped into the pond from the rollways on the left and sent up to the second floor of the mill via the bull-slide on the right. The man with the pole guiding the logs to the bull-slide was called the pond-monkey. The building beyond the sawmill was a lumber shed. |
