The Secor residence was built in 1862 by Dr. Horace Knapp. Around 1870, the property was acquired by Martin M. Secor, a manufacturer of trunks and luggage and former mayor of Racine. The Secor estate, with its gardens and private zoo, is now (as of 1960) the site of the Danish Old People's Home. |
