American House or Flom Hotel
The Flom Hotel or American House, 323 East Main Street, at the corner of South Hancock Street. The Vilas House, whose conveyance stands in front, was a rival establishment. The Andres Flom, proprietor of the Flom Hotel (wearing a silk top hat) shakes hands with a newly arrived guest (also in top hat, with bag). Other people include Flom porters, barkeeps, chambermaids and other members of the staff. |
