The Joseph Clauder Marching Band from Milwaukee pose in front of the Wisconsin Building at the St. Louis World's Fair. Clauder's band was one of the most prominent of Milwaukee's German bands during the 19th Century. In addition, he was a well-known composer and the conductor of the Davidson Theater Orchester for twenty-five years. |
