Sign for the toll road at Big Smoky Falls on the Wolf River. The sign reads: "Big Smoky Falls of the Wolf River. Many years ago before 1925 there was no road with which people could get into this place and in order that tourists could see these wonderful waterfalls we worked hard to build this road so that you can come here and veiw[sic] the falls also the beautiful scenery that surrounds it. This is why I charge the ten cent admission fee. We thank you, call again Jos. F. Corn A Menominee Tribesman." |
