Milwaukee University School was founded as the German-English Academy in 1851. The name was changed in 1917 due to anti-German sentiment during World War I. In 1964, Milwaukee Country Day School and Milwaukee Downer Seminary merged with Milwaukee University School to become the University School of Milwaukee. |
