Wisconsin Road Map and Directory
This colored road map of Wisconsin displays "Featured Points of Interest" and "Historical Points of Interest" in the state, including three color photographs of several of these. There are detailed maps of Green Bay, Madison, Racine, Duluth- Superior, Kenosha, and Milwaukee. On the right side is a map key indicating road classifications and symbols for other map features. Below this is a detailed Index of cities and towns, showing map location and population for each. At the bottom of the map is a mileage chart, and a "Recreational Areas" chart outlining amenities at various state and county parks and forests. Additionally, there are several commercial advertisements, promotions from Standard Oil Company, and a graphic for Quaker State Oil showing cars of the period. On the back side is a full map of the state, showing portions of bordering states. On the right side is a brief directory of food, lodging, and attractions, by city name. There is a detailed map of the Wisconsin Dells area. There are several advertisements around the map, including a suggestion to "Look For America's Past" in the Bicentennial year. |
