She became 1 of 16 finalists before winning the competition. She is posing with her elbows resting on the back of a chair, and is wearing a coat, hat with veil, and a ring. The photograph ran in the Dodgeville Chronicle on May 20, 1948, in an advertisement for OBMA Studios. The text reads: "Our photograph of Miss McGuire was selected by the judges as one of the 4 best in the entire state of Wisconsin. We are highly gratified that this honor has come to Miss McGuire whose photograph was competing with others from the best studios in the state." |
